The potato sack is trapped on a ledge. A another (safe) ledge is near by, yet too far away for jumping distance. Rather than attempting to jump the chasim, the sack takes some of the stitches from his edge and uses it as a lasso. Using the lasso, the sack catches a branch on the nearby ledge and swings across.

Dan correct me if im wrong but if i remember right from class i believe you said you were going to switch your idea to something along the lines of the lasso idea. So i am just gonna go with that aspect and say i like the idea, i know you hadn't given it as much thought as your previous one but i think this one will work a lot better for you when animating. Maybe you could inspire the lasso idea with a little Indiana Jones themes or even just some wild west sort of style in it. I mean just to give the whole lasso idea some creativity or something for the audience to relate to this potato sac swinging on a rope. Hope this helps.
...After what Beat said about an Indiana Jones theme, my brain suddenly went off on the tangent with a western theme, complete with cowboy hats and corny music. ANYWAY.
I do find it a little difficult to give commentary on an idea that was, at the time, still rather sketchy. Since you have a little less time and have to aim for something simple, I agree with Beat and say beef it up with style! If you have more work done on your idea today you can tell me about it in class and I'll try and give you more feedback!
I remember that in class you had changed your idea several times. I think that the one about climbing the wall or mountain was the best idea of the ones you mentioned. I think that this would be easiest and best for the assignment. I might suggest working on the story a little but other than that I think that as long as you add some creativity to it it will be great.
